20 Minutes Heart Workout on a Stationary Bike, Stretching and HIIT

Today was supposed to be leg-day! But my legs are still aching from the previous workout, which left me almost limping for a few days (who says high reps don’t build muscle?!) But, instead I did 20 minutes on the stationary bike, which I enjoyed for the first time for many years!

Then I moved into 20 minutes stretching – chest, back, arms, shoulders, neck, quadriceps, hamstrings and calves. I didn’t do a major back stretch, just some tugging on the nearest pillar to lengthen the muscles a bit.

To finish off todays workout, I did about 15 minutes of HIIT. One session of skipping and one session of burpees and mountain climbers. I love burpees because they are an ‘all rounder’ for burning fat, building core muscles and your heart rate goes sky high.
